First time in making macaroons. My first batch went down the sink ahahahaa :p Above picture show my 3rd batch. Still need improvement on the looks (need a smooth surface on top). U might wondering where is my 2nd batch right? it went into the Piranha's mouth!(the siblings :p they just cant help themselves from snatch it from me) darn!
Previously i keep making up excuses to make these cuties. Need silicone mat, need egg whites(im really lazy in separating those yolk and whites actually hehe), very busy with my work(duhhh~) and etc. So, lesson number ONE: Silicone mat is a MUST! I mean, really really really important. Normal parchment paper(which every recipe call for it) wont do, trust me. It will stick, and u'll end up eating the paper also :D Furthermore, silicone mat is a reusable item, so GO GREEN and RE-use instead need to use and throw the parchment paper again and again :) U can buy it at bakery store as low as RM8/pc or the imported/thick/high quality one for about RM40. I bought them already, FINALLY!
Will work hard for my perfect batch after this since i dont have excuses anymore :p Till then, have a great day ahead! :D
